This month I had the pleasure of introducing the Fowlis & Liff WRI to the wonders of seaweed. I also had the privilege of judging the home-baking - custard creams! A tough decision.
The workshops are attracting all kinds of keen beachcombers from crafters and weavers to academics and writers. I always learn something new at the sessions because people bring their own experiences and interests so it's a two-way benefit. Seaweed paper is also catching the eye of a few organisations interested in using it in various ways with their displays, printed materials and even their financial accounts for their AGM. I've been collaborating with them to test different types on various printers to work out which textures and thicknesses work best. Three photos show beautiful creative work by members of Fife Writes as well as paper printed on a home printer.
